tennis
I am a rising Senior at West Windsor High School Plainsboro North. As I enter my senior year, I am looking forward to starting my college life in the coming year. I have always been fascinated by how a stock market operates. Not only that, I am also curious to understand the data science and economic factors impacting the varying prices. In my view, this field offers more opportunities that align to my interests.
I plan to pursue a course in Financial Technology in my
undergrad college.
Tennis is my favorite sport and I started playing it when I was 7 years old.
I have played for the High school varsity team for the last 3 years. I have played Singles as well as doubles for my school team. I also had a chance to represent the school at State level tournaments. Be-sides that I have played numerous USTA L4, L5, L6 and L7 tournaments and won quite a few of them.
During the summer break of Sophomore and Junior years, I organized a summer Tennis camp in which I taught intermediate to advanced level kids. The camp size varied between 4 and 6 students. This gave me an opportunity to improve my leadership and organization capabilities.
During the summer breaks of my Freshman and Sophomore year, I also worked with "BJANA" an or- ganization that provides a social and cultural plat- form to connect Indian communities in North Ameri- ca. I volunteered to teach Math for students in grade 5 to 8. I designed the curriculum and conducted Maths classes for 2 weeks. This helped me immense- ly in improving my organizational abilities.
Financial literacy is not my only interest as I am also very interested in computer programming. More specifi- cally I like the idea of being able to utilize my creativity and my programming skills to design and create new applications. To further my knowledge in this field I have taken multiple computer science courses at my schools including an AP computer science course and have also taken outside of schools a Data Analytics course from Rice University. The course from Rice university combined data analysis with computer program- ming to see how the two work together in making modern and accurate prediction models.
I participated in the Louis Bay II Future Municipal Leaders Scholarship Competition and was a semifinalist in the essay writing competition.
I have been a part of the Model United Nations club at my school for the last 2 years and represented the school in various conferences.
I have also participated in the MUN competitions outside of school such as American Debate League. I am an active member of the Young Entrepreneur and UNICEF clubs at School.
I have received Guitar training for 3 years.
Socially, I like to engage in community services. I had the privilege to work with an Indian non profit organization (Adarsh Samaj Sahayog Samiti) to educate them in basic computing skills. I have volunteered with another non profit organization "Princeton Tennis Program" as an assistant coach since Feb 2022. At PTP, I conduct tennis classes to teach concepts to rising green dot and yellow ball players. I have also been a volunteer at Marathons, my last one being with the NYC Marathon.
I played for several positions (2nd Singles, 3rd singles, 1st doubles, 2nd doubles) for the varsity team during the 2022-2023 season. Few articles which can lead you to my high school tennis career.
